Thieaudio Monarch MKIII impressions, reviews, and pictures thread
What a coincidence I have the iBasso DC Elite here, too for loan but honestly I'm not impressed but that gear... using EverSolo DAC Z8 anyway I'm not into device sound apart from tube amps which actually do have own sounding... By "wet" I mean the bass is kinda boomy. It's just a hit 'n' miss...- n00kie

HISENIOR AUDIO Discussion Thread
I'd say try the Mega5EST! It has decent treble extension around 15 khz which is a really important region to shine for EST drivers.- n00kie

It's not the same since it's synthesizer bass... Shuoer S12 or EJ07m has more of a dry bass.- n00kie

@ MidnightSun https://tidal.com/browse/track/255834905?u The bass guitar just reverbs too long and too intense for my liking :relaxed:- n00kie

Thieaudio Monarch MKIII impressions, reviews, and pictures thread
Am I the only person who call the MMK3 bass kinda "wet"? Don't get me wrong I enjoy MMK3 overall but on some bassy and fast tracks it lacks the controlled, dry tactility by other counterparts.- n00kie

Aful Performer Impressions Thread
KiwiEears Quintett comes very close to P8 technicalities if you ask me. Both can be regarded as "Mini Annihilators" among treble lovers imho.- n00kie

Which IEM have you been most disappointed by?
Symphonium Meteor For me it has bloated bass and awful timbre for cymbals due to the exaggerated treble extension.- n00kie

Precog's IEM Reviews & Impressions
There are several UIEMs which are semi-custom-like and very close to CIEMs. My Monarch Mk3 for example fits like a glove in my ears despite of the chunky shell.- n00kie

@ Leonarfd I assume this is on Tidal? I'm listening the same track now and for me this is regular FLAC @ 96 khz. I don't find a MQA version of that track either on Tidal :smirk:- n00kie

Great review! I've tested MEST MK2 and Monarch MK3 recently I could imagine having both as two endgame IEMs in my collection as they complement each other pretty well. This recessed upper mids / anti Harman tuning is pretty interesting which I witnessed for the first time on MEST Mk2. I was...- n00kie

The Kiwi ears Quintet Thread:
Yeah I get your point. You can just EQ the bass and then you might have 95 % of the MMK3 sound. :L3000:- n00kie

The silver reflecting faceplate and shell design reminds me of the Letshuoer Cadenza 12.- n00kie

ThieAudio Signature Series Tribrid IEMs
The faceplate on the Hype 10 definitely looks more stunning than the default one from MMK3 which goes more for a low-key understatement.- n00kie
