DAC for new (vintage) hi-fi setup
So my father, in his version of a midlife crisis, has accumulated quite a bit of vintage hifi gear by pillaging the basements of friends. So now he has a working Scott 222C (approximately 1962 vintage) and a pair of Klipschorns (approximately 1987 vintage) And he wants a DAC...- kb1gra

I'm posting this from 34,000ft!
A fair guesstimate... the flight tracker feature on the IFE says 34,146ft and 530mph at present. About 1200 miles left to go. I have a speedtest: Picture 5 on Flickr - Photo Sharing!- kb1gra

I'm posting this from 34,000ft!
Taking the annual christmas trip on Virgin this year, and they've got free inflight wifi so... I'm posting this from 34000ft above Milwaukee, while going 543mph. It certainly makes flying a lot less sucky to have the internet! Merry christmas everyone!- kb1gra

My Mini3 is done! Mini3 Project - a set on Flickr I have more pics of the build process coming. I made a few changes...instead of the standard boring ones on the AMB build sheet. Enclosure is a Box Enclosures BEX Series one, model B1-080. In order to make the PCB fit, solder lugs...- kb1gra

Being single sucks...
I'm 22, single, yes I'm a girl, and I like it this way for the time being. I've always found that as soon as I decide I don't WANT a relationship, one will fall into my lap. So, for now, I'm happy doing whatever I want. I am looking forward to someday getting into the kind of relationship where...- kb1gra

Computer gurus, can you help me?
I guess I'll be the one and only person to point out that unless the mobo in an a320n was replaced at some point, there is no way it will play the Sims3 regardless of how much Ram you put in there-- it has an integrated 64mb graphics card that is about on par with the GMA950, and will not run...- kb1gra

Unique Melody Remold Impressions Thread
Can someone who has better luck getting in touch with Sam PLEASE ask him if he can remold ADDIEMs? I have sent several emails...he responded to the first one 2 1/2 weeks later, but nothing since then, and I can't catch him online as I am on the east coast and am therefore always asleep when he...- kb1gra

Pen-Fi (FPs, RBs, BPs, etc...) [56k Warning]
Well I have a bunch of the Hi-tec C gel pens, and to be honest I think at the same price the Pentel Slicci is a better pen...but the multipen function of the Coleto is fine on mine, at least. If you're getting individual pens I'd get the Slicci instead of the Hi-Tec C.- kb1gra

You cannot lie @ The Apple Store
There are TWO moisture indicators in the iPod touch. One is in the middle of the dock connector port and one is in the headphone jack. The dock connector is the easiest to trip and to read, so we apple techs always check the dock connector first.- kb1gra

Airplane charger for laptop?
well, you can get a power supply that's airline compatible, however airline power regulations prohibit the use of the power ports to charge the device--you can only use it to power them. I have these for some HP nc series workstation laptops and the charger explicitly states the charging...- kb1gra
