Is it really fair to compare the stp-se to the Freya S? The STP-SE starts at $3,750 USD. I think when saying how great a product is compared to another its only fair to state the price. The WFS is $3k more than Freya S. It damn well better be a far superior product. Edit: just looked again...

Oh boy. I have a older Cifte that used to be in my Tube Integrated amp, preamp spot. It may be done though. Also have a Mullard cv4003 that I never got on with in my tube amp that should have plenty of life. Going to have to get me an adapter and try them out.

I think the biggest difference is the voltage on the internal rails. went from 60V to 100V. I can't say I completely understand beyond "more is better". I also struggle with the length of Jason's posts.. It's not a criticism of Jason, I realize this is a me problem.
