Currently I own the iAudio 7, which I love.

Thinking about getting a second DAP to try, but want to keep ripping my CD's in Lossless.

Just wanted to get some feedback on how many current Zune 120 owners load their music via WMA Lossless

Thanks

Trying to find out if the majority of Zune 120 Owners take advantage of the WMA Lossless Codec...or they convert in another format.

Probably should have been a poll...

The only reason I would purchase a Zune 120 is to convert my CDs to the DAP in lossless

Who or what is stoping you to do that ?

My Zune 80 has tracks from CD's in:
- MP3 format with bitrates from 160 to 320 kbps
- WMA from Zune Pass at 196 (192?) kbps
- WMA Lossless from FLAC files
- WMA Lossless from CD's

What I'd like to know as well is how is the battery charge life with WMA lossless playback in comparison to MP3.

When I had my Zune 80, I got about 11 hours with WMA lossless, and about 18 hours with anything lossy above 256kbps. And I played around with it while I was using it too, so that was my 'real world' usage!

EDIT: I just realised the Zune 120 has a longer battery life, but you could still work out approximate 'lossless' battery life from the figures I got from the Zune 80.

I own a zune30 and have since Nov. 2006, I upgraded the Hardrive in the Zune30 to 100 GB so I have an un-offical Zune100 because I wanted to keep the EQ presets that are not in the newer Zune's.

I have 279 CD's on my Zune100 ALL wma lossless and could not be happier with it.

I get about 10 hours battery life with my Zune100 using wma lossless and the EQ presets which is fine with me.

I have a zune 120 and i have a couple albums in loseless, i have noticed anything bad about the battery life but i am sure it is affected slightly.

I have noticed though with lossless the gapless playing suffers and the seeking does too but nothing that you cant live with
