According to their website, it sounds like they're copper, but I've got a pair and they seem like they're silver under the techflex, but it may just be the jacketing that's silver...

can anyone confirm?

I think its silver plated copper, not sure. You should contact zu and ask them directly.
I would be interested in hearing their response. Im sure more would be interested also.
