I have a Zero with HDAM Earth and LT1364. And boy does it get HOT!!! I was wondering if I need to worry about this when I upgrade to the AKG701/702 and what I could do to keep it cool. There were mentions of heatsinks and/or fans but I have never heard of or used heatsinks and fans that small... Nor would I know how to install them or power the fans.

Anyone got the solution or had similar issues?

For my Zero swap to LT1364 also become hot...why?

I also noticed that LT1364 runs hotter than other opamps. I do not have Zero, but I have been using them in several equipments (DACs and headphone amps). Hence, I am not surprised to hear it runs hot in Zero.

The LT1364 is a high-speed OPA and naturally runs quite hot. I highly doubt that the OPA will ever reach it's meltdown temperature limit, rest assured.
