I am planning to get my first headphone setup, I am thinking about either getting the Zero DAC/amp or LDmkIII tube amp to pair with my future K701 or HD600.

I already have a X-Fi sound card as DAC, I don't know if I really need to Zero as dedicated DAC.
[image]http://images.tigerdirect.com/SkuIma...C44-3428-e.JPG[/image]I assume if I connect X-Fi to LDMKIII, I use the red and white rca on the front panel to feed the rca on the back of LD, am I right?

Can you give me some advice which one I should get? Also I am currently favor toward K701, hearing it's a little bit bass lacking, will either of these amp help smooth out the problem?

Little Dot amps are available on eBay or directly from the Little Tube. ( Little-Tube). I am pleased with my MKII, but probably should have paid the extra dollars to get the MKIII for the additional power. You can experiment with different tubes to find your favorite sound signature.

Your hookup assumption is correct; outputs to inputs.
