I installed newest firmware. My ZM should be installing without any problems on all computers. I thought I could use it as a portable memory

And guess what? I came to my friend, plug the ZM and... it wanted drivers! Ok, no prob, I had a CD with me. But even after installing drivers it didn't want to work

At home I have the newest drivers and they work well, but while I was in my friend's house, I had only CD with which my ZM came. And it didn't work

So, he's laptop saw that there's a portable device (even named it "Zen Micro"), but only in WMP9. There wasn't any icon which should mean a new disk. So I could see what I have on my ZM (in WMP9) but couldn't download anything (I had 2GB of pdf's for Fading Suns).
What's the point?

ya i had the same "problem" that you had. for it to work as the removable disk you have to go menu>extras>removable disk and it should say something like removable disk 2 gb. leave the player alone at that screen and plug it in. should work.

you have to do this same thing to put the files on and take them off.

good luck

sounds complicated mabey but it really isnt. it only takes a couple of seconds, its like flipping a switch so its pretty easy.

because they arnt compatable. besides the new mediasouce and the old one suck compared to wmp10. download and start using wmp10 if you can its alot better. if you really dont want to then you need to download the compatable mediasouce off of the creative website.

add all of you music files to the wmp library (the green plus sign in the lower right side of the library tab) and then sync your micro with your library.
