Would this be good as a first amp for grado 325i's? Or would something like a GoVibe or Cmoy be better?

Hi thespeakerbox,

I remembered (if correctly) read about the 'Little Dot I' it's output impedence is not suitable to drive low impedence headphones like the Grados.

I have personally tried amping my SR60 with a Cmoy, and result though not significant, it's noticable after careful comparison. I could only imagine the higher model Grados would require amplification to shine... so even though Cmoy's not optimal, but it would help nonthenless.

No personaly expereience with a GoVibe, have to let others to comment.

I have the SR125 and use the Electric Avenue PAV2 to drive them out of an Ipod. They do a good job and the batteries last a very long time.

You can buy the Little Dot II for less than $90 shipped.

I'd go with that.

Maybe think about a CMOY variant designed for Grados that give them their necessary current, such as the Aperhead47 (Twinstarr Black or DIY).
