A portable, battery powered, squeezebox with a decent built in headphone amp!
Think of the possibilities.
Currently V3 can delivery mega buck transport bit perfect data streamed over the ethernet and has a very respectable DAC. It' s main weakness is the powersupply. A battery would do nicely to fix that and provide portability around the house. Add a decent headphone amp and ....imagine the possibilities. Hmmm

Agreed. And if we are going down that route, if they fitted a 60gb hard drive and decent control interface i think it would be the perfect DAP too wouldnt it ?


Wireless streaming for downloads or use as a DAB when near a wireless network;
60gig of portable music when not;
Digital input and output (both optical and SPDIF i think)
Burr brown DAC.

If you could combine that with a friendly GUI and a 10hr battery life it it would rock.
