ok.. so here is an original thread for all of you....

I'm looking for a new soundcard around the £100 ($195) mark.
At the moment, I think I am leaning towards the Audiotrak Prodigyg HiFi (and, it's only £70...

Does anyone have experience with this card and can anyone recommend a (better, if possible at this price) alternative?

I use a chaintech av710 flashed to prodigy and use the optical out; it is a very good and cheap solution. The prodigy to use the optical digital out to a DAC is a good card with solid drivers and native ASIO. If you are going to use the analog out, I cannot say because I never heard it.

I was thinking of using the analogue output for a while, and then use the digital output later, after buying a DAC.
