They shouldn't affect the original Eichmann connectors at all. That barrel is just purely asthetics, and I guess it could help strengthen the strain releif of the cable.

That is interesting. I didnt know that you could sell them like that now. Last I spoke with Eichmann they you were only allowed to buy/use those as a vendor as part of a finished cable.

That said they are very nice... they are still very low mass and much more durable. I would highly recommend them... that and the blue is just ugly
