as some of you may have known, my laptop produces a horrible hiss and i could not find a remedy for it (thats cheap). well i ordered a TBAAM yesterday from buy.com, came out to be $21 after google rebate, and now i have crisp clear sound from my laptop finally. best $20 i ever spent in audio.

Please indulge me on this "TBAAM" for I do not know what this is and if it can fix my Dell's hiss, then all the better.

it stands for turtle beach audio advantage micro, its a usb sound card bascially, and i get total silence with my marshmallows now where as before, even with the music on low medium, the hiss isnt drowned out.

You realize... you can do the same for $8 with a chinese sound stick...

Chinese sound stick? Whats that? =] Btw, TBAAM has optical out for those desiring to add a DAC later and some nice software that comes with it.
