Hi,
Half a year ago I decided to sell some stuff incl. bolder squeezebox to simplify and raise cash for study books, but I'm beginning to feel the bug again
It's my birthday in a couple of days and I'm thinking of getting a better source.... Most of my music is on my hard drives and I'm using my audigy 2 at the moment. Doesn't sound to bad using foobar and kxdrivers... But it's a little grainy and boomy . My rio carbon mp3 player is actually a bit better.
the modded trends amp and the Hawthornes OB's make a pretty smooth warm sounding pair. That's the kind of sound I like.... Headphones are mostly for portable use .
-something under 200 dlr's incl. shipping. ( new or used) I'm in Europe.
-All-round music capabilities ( jazz, rock etc.)
-if external USB+ Coax input ( for Toshiba dvdp) would be ideal but internal soundcard suggestions are welcome if much better.
I've been reading a lot here, and the emu 0404usb looks pretty good to me
( also quite hard to get for cheap in europe)
Hope you can help here
Robert
