I have 2 sound cards in my computer at the moment. One is a Audigy 2 and the other is a M-Audio Revo 7.1.I wanted to hook up this y-adaptor so that all i would have to do in order to change them up is to use the "sound and audio device"settings in the control panel.

I hooked them up but with my Sennheiser 280 Pro's all i get is one of the sides working.Am i going the right way with the y-adaptor or is there some other equiptment better for this application?

You can't short the two soundcards together. You need a line level mixer.

ART makes a cheap "personal" line level mixer, it is probably just what you want.

You could also make a DIY switchbox, probably cheaper, with better quality, but you would have to flip a switch to change between the cards.

That switchbox seems like a better choice since i dont mind a switch to change between them.Would you happen to have any links where i can purchase these switchbox?
