Im talking DAC or AMPs here, do i need, rarther, would i greatly benefit from, having either or both?

The Xonar STX is good enough and has a "dedicated high impedance headphone amplifier" , you won't need anything else.

Since the Ks are not high impedance (64 ohm), they would benefit from an amp. Once you get comfortable with that, get to a meet and see how well they fare with better gear. Carry a band aid or two for your wallet though.
