Hello all,

Is there any audio degradation of using an XLR Y Splitter? I want to send a balanced signal out of my DAC to both my speaker amp and headphone amp but only one XLR out. Also would having one side of the splitter temporarily unplugged and using the other side cause any weird issues?

If both of the XLR input circuits are correctly designed it shouldn't make any difference. But more than a few are incorrectly designed.
