Dear all,
Does it make sense. e.g. can I expect an improved performance by connecting a headphone via an XLR 4-pin balanced cable to the amp, EVEN THOUGH the input signal is only single ended (cinch) ?
Case in question: An ETHER phone would be connected to the MalValve Tube amp (my CD Player has only Cinch outputs) , with balanced XLR 4-pins;
currently I use the stock cable, un-balanced with 6.3 mm  Jack.

EDIT: The problem is solved - YES, my amp does internal balancing, hence I could use balanced phone to amp cabling
