I have latest Xin Ref C sent to me end of May 2009. I am thinking of buying new D10 for its versatility. May be selling Ref C to fund D10.
Does anyone have an idea about the SQ of D10 as a standalone amp in comparison to Xin Ref C?

I have had both at the same time and compared them side by side. I preferred the C, however if you need a DAC/Amp the D10 is the way to go.

Thanks! Thats what I thought. I do not mind keeping RefC. Is it worth buying the D10 for its DAC function only to be used with my laptop? How does it perform as a standalone DAC?

Yes, although it is my understanding that iBasso will be introducing a D10 Dac only version. You may wish to check w/ jamato8.

Or, you could go with the pico dac only, but I imagine that the d10 dac only would be waaay cheaper.
