Hi all.

I'm looking for a portable amp to use with my iPod 5.5. My methodology has been to read forum reviews and comments, then go look at ebay for prices. Then browse ebay and then come look here. Good entertainment.

By the thread title you may assume the Xenos X1HA-EPC caught my attention. I found comments on the 1HA-EPC but not the X1HA-EPC. The comments I did find seem to indicate favorably, and I found a seemingly good deal for them on ebay. Supposedly this is a close-out model, and the price has been cut from $239 to $179, plus it comes with a spare lithium ion battery.

I think the price/performance is about right for my needs, but what of other amps in this price range? Is there a significant difference between the X model and non-X? I hadn't planned to spend this much right off, but it does seem to be the right one for me.

Give me the lowdown if there is one, please.

They're the same thing.

Its an excellent amp that has been discontinued.

There's one drawback though... Its gigantic, to say the least.

Its taller, wider, and about 3-4 times thicker than your 5.5G iPod.

Fortunately, it's size isn't much of an issue for me. But thanks for pointing it out.
