Hi,
I have owned and used a Fiio X1 for 2.5 years and am very happy with it. I want to buy one for my mother as a Xmas gift to replace her aging iPod. Her vision is not great, so I will definitely want to install a large print firmware version.
My question is--is there much/any difference between the two iterations of the X1 for this purpose? I have a later firmware version on mine--ie. one that greatly improved the scrollwheel performance.
Is there an X1 firmware version that includes improved scrollwheel performance with large print?
OR
Does the X1 2nd Gen have a large print firmware version? I believe the 2nd Gen already has better scrollwheel performance.
Her needs are very simple, and she will only browse by folder, does not need bluetooth, or high end output to drive any device other than headphones or a small usb rechargeable speaker.
