hi, i have an APC UPS for my computer and one of the caps started making a buzzing/ringging sound.

i want to replace it but im not sure where i can get the proper replacement, apc doesnt wat to sell it to me. if anyone has an extra one laying around i could buy or could suggest a store that stocks them, or an online site that will sell me one cap, lol. the capacitor is about 2"tall and 1"wide, it doesnt need to be a special audio grade or anythng. thanks

have you tried the online stores?

i am nearly certain you will find a suitable cap at mouser/digikey....

has anyone ever heard of a cap failing like this, i wasnt sure what was making the sound untill i took the board out of the UPS, is the ringing b/c the cap is bad or a different component could be failing and having the effect on the capacitor.(?)
