I'm using it to run a Focal Clear MG, and I know I don't need anything better for what I have now.

But given it's tough to buy anything for a reasonable price where I live, and that I'm going to the US in a few weeks, wondering if I should take the opportunity to upgrade. In that sense, I'm not sure if I should go for a "vertical" upgrade, like something with better sound (although from reading I guess you don't really get much better than this), or a "horizontal" upgrade to get a different kind of sound (perhaps tube?).

Looking at not spending more than $400 or so.

Thoughts?

I would probably settle to Magni+ then buy some hybrid tube to mix things up, OTL stuff might turn Clear MG bloaty sounding.

Liquid Platinum might be best grap for money at the moment https://www.monoprice.com/product?p_id=33305 but could go out of stock any moment, pairs quite nicely to Utopia so would image Clear Mg working great as well.

I had a DX3Pro+ last month, and upgraded to a Topping e50 and L30ii running on optical for a completely silent noise floor. I'm done upgrading and it was really worth it for extra power for some harder to drive headphones. With IEMs, it's really amazing.
