I've noticed this option on my playback device. It changes the sound drasticly if i remove it. I googled it and found no info about it, some users thinking its just disabling some effects but the text says "Allows extra signal processing by the audio device" which kinda makes me believe is good? But disabling it does make my headset sound even better so im not sure what this actually does.

Microsoft said this is for wireless devices and should be enabled. So whatever sound change people hear must be placebo.
