When Stax 009 started having imbalance problem, some head-fiers wanted to buy another pair just in case their's develop the problem. After Edifier bought Stax company, some head-fiers bought 009 just in case Edifier moves the manufacturing to China from Japan. If Stax stops making 009 I would bet that their value would start going up immediately. I have a Stax 007 Mk1 and a HiFiMan HE-6. I've also listened to the HD800, Stax 007 Mk2 and MrSpeakers VOCE. 009 beats them all, IMO.
