I am getting huge difference while listening MP3+foobar 0.9 compare to Windows media player 10. Media player's sounding too much clear and dynamic with even crap MP3's. Is it geared to sound clear with MP3's ???

If that's the case, then you have WMP10 and foobar set up differently. Either you have plugins in Foobar that are noticeably degrading audio quality, or you have EQ or other settings in WMP that are "enhancing" what you hear.

I just tried it with a few 128kbps mp3's and couldn't hear a difference. As stated, just check over the effects in foobar and the "enhancements" in WMP. The WoW effects especially in WMP can make quite a difference in perceived quality.

I suggest you use winamp, it can support all the same things as foobar (crossfeed, asio, kernel streaming, flac, etc...) with the right plugins. You are using asio with foobar (or kernel streaming), right?

Solution: Don't use the equalizer.
