Hi,
I am wonderding which PSU (voltage) to use for my amp:
I hooked up my old Headsave Classic amp to a laptop PSU which was outputting 24.1 V (measured it) and it sounded broken. It hasn't been used for about 4 years. The original was a 24V 0.4A Elpac PSU but that one is broken.
I used a different 19.5V 4.62A PSU now and everything sounds ok. Weird...
The thing is I think there was also a connector included with the amp for 2 9V batteries for portable use (18V in series) so it seems I can choose whitin a certain voltage range?
Did I possibly break anything, is it ok to keep using this PSU? This amp was just laying around. I'm not planning on buying a new PSU for it...
