Hi
I am in the market to buy a new CD player for redbook CD playing. Which one is better?

Sony Es Xa3es Cd Player
Cal Audio Labs Icon Mk II
Sony SCD-C333ES
Music Hall MM25
Phillips 962

My current source is Pioneer DV-444, 24/196, Burr Brown.
I hope I can have some big difference after this upgrade.
Thank you.

I would consider the Philips DVD963SA over the 962. The 963 is supposed to sound really great, much better than the 962.

I have the Music Hall MMF-CD25, and I can safely recommend it for redbook. I really like it a lot. However, I have not heard the Philips yet, so either might be a great choice.

Either the Music Hall or the Phlips will probably sound better for red book than the others on your list from what I have read.
