Buying headphones in Canada is an expensive proposition. It woudln't bother me so much, except that I feel I'm being gouged - not by the retailers, but by the middle-men.

Anyhoo, I bought my HD590s in Scarborough, Ontario at a place called Musonica.

It is quite a ways along Kingston Road - east of Morningside Avenue. I don't have their phone number anymore cause I don't live in Toronto anymore - I suggest giving them a call. They were great when I wanted to audition headphones.

If you are going to go there, and coming fromthe west, I suggest you take the 401 East to the Morningside Exit. Take Morningside south until you reach Kingston (two or three major intersections), and then east (which should be left) on to Kingston Road. Drive for maybe 1 minute or so (not very long) and you'll find it. Hard to miss. It used to be a big purple building.

I hate Bay-Bloor Audio. They have ****** service - and they're expensive. I avoid them like the plague.

Hey clutz....i can't find that store. I guess they must have closed down. That site has good prices. But i'm only saving 10bucks. Which is the same as getting something off ebay and then paying for the shipping. Come on canada you got to have at least some good stores.

Nope, Canada does not have any good stores.

I'd rather buy my Sennheiser from minidisc-canada because they *are* an authorized dealer for Sennheiser...which is more than you can say for any ebay dealer. You get the full warranty.

If you don't want to buy from minidisc-canada, then go with something like Long and McQuade as mentioned above, but you will likely pay more.

To be honest, I'd buy from the USA. To give you an example, you can get the HD580 for $150 USD + $26 shipping from a dealer such as Headroom (after price match)

That comes out to about $250 CAD taxes in.

I'm at Steeles... you may have to make the trek to the Bloor Store..they have an awesome recording department. I only have the 500 series at my store and I think we sold the last pair of 580s was it on Saturday.. I'll look into it and see what I can get quickly but like I said, if you're gonna wanna check a bunch out side by side, check em out at the Bloor store...or check them our at Bay Bloor and then see how our pricing compares with them for if you wanted to order through us.

Buy it from the US.
