if you can't find them on ebay, etc?

My Mobo fried, and I can't find one with similar specs. It was ASUS P4P800S-X, which I can't find. I just need a Mobo with combo of:

478 Processor socket for Pentium 4 chip
AGP slot for graphics card
SATA

Any other sources for this sort of thing?

I just went to eBay and did a search:

254 items found for: socket 478 motherboard in Computers & Networking

I suggest you try again

if you are on any bigger computer forums, they'll have a "for sale" forum - good place to get older stuff.

also, i am sure if you ask around here, someone would probably have one gathering dust... heck, even i have a couple.

but if you want a store, numb got it right - geeks.com is a pretty good place for old and re-furbished. newegg has a couple (first two):

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...k=&srchInDesc=

so does zipzoomfly:

http://www.zipzoomfly.com/jsp/Produc...oryCode=111206

and here's a pricegrabber listings for s478:

http://computers.pricegrabber.com/mo...0%5B%5D=15:278

so, there are some choices still...

newegg has surprisingly few 478 boards anymore. They deal in cutting edge tech mostly. I just had a dell server board fry; close to your specs but a weird size. Found a replacement at ascendtech.com for $60 shipped. The onboard network adapter doesn't seem to work but they said they'd send me a free NIC. All in all, a good deal. They have lots of old 478 mobos; some new, some reconditioned, some pulled from working systems.
