Need a coaxial or optical input rather than / as well as USB. It's for a Marantz CD player with dodgy analogue outs, to then run into a Headfive.
Where and what cheap DACs can be got in the UK?

For affordable DAC's the best place is usually eBay or an importer, for some reason DAC's are not very big over here. Strange.
As for which one, the selections represented on this forum pretty much covers all but the ultra high end pieces. I would advise against buying an older unit, even if from a respected brand, as the technology appears to have advanced quite a bit and a more recent unit will most likely sound superior.
