My Turtle Beach Santa Cruz doesn't have a line out, only a speaker/headphone out. When using an external amplifier, what volume should my computer set at? Full or lower? Thanks.

AFAIK it should be set to the max.

IIRC the Turtle Beach Santa Cruiz amplifies the signal at 100% volume, but is line-level at 75% volume. I'm not entierly sure though so I could be wrong.

Mr. Radar, do you know anything about the original Audigy 2's volume when it starts becoming amped?

Do some googling for the Audigy 2 RMAA test setup guide, written by Creative. It specifies the line-levels, but from memory it is either 72% or 79% master.

I've found with a lot of consumer stereo equipment, if you turn it up to 100% it distorts. I'd be tempted to set it at 50% or even a little less. Best thing though it to try it and see.
