Didn't know where else to put this so here goes.

My current setup is as follows:

Foobar w/ all tweaks > AV710 > CMOY -or- Klipsch Promedia as amp > HD555 -or- HD497

The reason there are multiple amps and cans is because I interchange between work and home. Both machines have the 710 though.

So what would you up next? The general concensus is my phones are not worth upgrading at this point (maybe 595's but they're too expensive).

I'd upgrade one of you're av710's to an Emu 0404. That will proabably require a new set of interconnects (or interconnect, I'm not sure what to call them when it's two 1/4" connected to one 1/8". If that costs too much, you may be able to find a better amp somewhere.

No sense upgrading anything right now, your setup is fine. Just in the case you want better dvd performance , get the M audio revo 5.1. I think the EMU 0404 wont be suitable for you, since they have only a single stereo output pair.

Only the 5.1's. The 4.1's have front and rear, however. Only the 2.1's are appropriate for the emu's. Which have you got Illah?
