Lots of people are into computer audio these days and there are plenty of different software to choose from.

So what do you use to control your computer audio setup?

Mostly PC for my high end listening, but my cell for casual IEM listening.
That sounds like a great setup! Using your PC for high-end listening is perfect for getting the most out of your gear, especially with a solid DAC and amp. For casual IEM listening on your phone, it’s super convenient and portable while still offering a good experience. Do you use any specific DAC/AMP setup for your PC listening, or do you keep it simple? It’s always interesting to see how people optimize their gear for both high-end and casual listening!

That sounds like a great balance! Using your PC for high-end listening really lets you take full advantage of your gear, especially if you have a solid DAC and amp. For casual IEM listening, your phone setup is definitely convenient and portable, and still gives you a great experience. I’m curious—do you have a specific DAC/AMP setup for your PC, or do you prefer a simpler approach? It’s always interesting to see how people fine-tune their gear for both high-end and more casual listening scenarios!

My source is a Macbook Air. I listen mostly to Apple Music. But I control Apple Music on the Macbook using the remote application on my iPhone. Very convenient for relaxed listening in the recliner without interacting with a desktop / notebook keyboard.

I switched to Roon last year just so that I could have unified libraries & outputs across everything, so my mobile, computer, and stereo setups can all just run off a roon server and be controlled from anything - running roon core & storing music files on my desktop. If I didn't want to simultaneously control multiple setups from multiple devices I would just go back to jriver or foobar if you don't care about dsp.

I use an HP workstation to listen to high-resolution music through an external DAC. Mostly I listen through headphones and a special amplifier for them. Sometimes, depending on my mood, I listen to speakers through a tube amplifier.

Amazon HD on a Lenovo Think Pad to a Modi MultiBit2. Then to either a Little Dot 1+, Vali 3 or Asgard 3 and then to Hemps, RS2x's Sundara's or 6XX's. Sometimes it's like there's too many cooks in the kitchen but it's nice to have choices.
