Robert Plant and Strange Sensation have a new album to be released in May called Mighty Rearranger. The first single is called "Shine it All Around". What do you think of it? I think it's pretty good. There is hope yet for rock and roll.

I haven't heard any of the music, but the newest issue of Rolling Stone describes Robert Plant's new disc "Mighty Rearranger" as "a CD of exotic melodies and blues thunder...a formidable mix of tribal beats, bluesy guitar crescendos and mystical balladry." Plant himself is quoted as saying, "I've really always had an idea to develop this melange of North African music and the Plant side of Led Zep - to push the two together...but there's as much Roni Size and Portishead on this album as there is Zeppelin." Sounds interesting...I'll definitely be buying this one...

I was on my way to work today thinking about how annoyed I am with the whole "indie" garage sound when this song came on the radio. At first, I remember thinking, "finally, something new in the genre that I am kinda digging." I later found it was Robert Plant.

Needless to say, pitchfork showed up shortly thereafter and revoked my "indie" status.
