I always only use line-out 1 but was curious what line-out 2 did. If used in conjunction, do they function as L and R?

I ask because I'm in the process of buying a META and trying to figure out which is the ideal interconnect: mini->mini, mini->RCA's, double mini->RCA's?

iirc, they can be used to connect 4 speakers for surround sound using eax.
