Looking for a dap..
For various reason my only options or Fiio m11 plus, DX240, a&k sr25 / kann max

Im planning to use it with senn 800s, momentum 3 wireless and d9200.

First is there a reason to get the kann max for more power?
And if not which one would you recommend? Listening to electronic it matters..
Also heard the software on a&k is terrible does someone familiar with that?

The reason is more power :D

I imagine that getting at least 150mw into the 800s would be ideal.
I know that power isn't the be-all-end-all when it comes to sound quality, but damn, when your headphones are well-fed they sound... healthy.

How do I know which dap get this amount? Is it written somewhere?
Check the specifications of each DAP. You should probably start with the manufacturers website.

Of those listed my immediate gut choice would be DX240 and even more so if using Streaming services.

I currently have a Sony WM1AM2 with 3.5 and 4.4mm.

I spent first 100 hrs listening balanced and awesone. Decided to give 3.5mm a go and amazingly also sounds awesome.

You are supposed to be able to buy the DX240 without amp and choose your own, unless thats only certain markets.

If the 3.5mm has enough power, don't necessarily need balanced.

Plus it has 2.5mm balanced and some great small DD 2.5 to 4.4mm adapters if your cables are 4.4mm

Example here, without amp
