What can I replace the V-MODA BoomPro with?

While the BoomPro sounds great, the in-line control leaves a LOT to be desired. It's turned weird, the sound fades to one side when I adjust the volume (I have a desk dial anyway), and when I switch the mic off, people can hear my PC sounds.
 
So I'd rather just have a clean cable and rely solely on the Plantronics RIG desk dial I'm looking at getting.
 
Unfortunately the RIG cables attach from the rear and won't fit on my Crossfade LPs.

I use the V-MODA Audio Only Cable.
 
By clean cable, did you mean audio only cable? hehe

Already have audio only and the inline mic that came with my headphones is terrible, which is why I spend $30 on the BoomPro in the first place.
 
Nono, I need a high quality TRRS microphone cable.

It's a bit much for something with one review, and it uses dual TRS. I need single TRRS.

I have the exact same problem with pc sound "leaking" into the boompro.
Doesn't matter if it's turned on or off.
 
But to be fair, i have this issue with all 4-pole headsets.
If i use an external mic, the problem goes away.
