I know it can be a stupid thread starting title
I'd like to know which mid-budget ( up to 400-500$ , but also less ) amp is the deepest bass amp
I ask because i have experienced very different bass deeping and response from different amp.
It's like I'm noticing too much response in this particular region of the freq. , i'd like to hear a bass that is no cutting the source

The Singlepower PPX3 is probably your best bet for great bass in that price range. It is also a versatile amp that is able to drive many different headphones very well.

You already own it, it's called the XP-7 (especially with AD797 op-amps). What headphones are you using, maybe you need a new pair?

xp7 is deep but it's really not visceral as others , nor flat to me it's really warm
i feel warmness in sound comes from a pronounced low-->midbass region , wich is not the deepest

while i think that when is the deepest bass region that is "pronounced" out of a good deeping source then you hear a feeling that is "rattling between among ass and stomach" -lol admissed here

Could it possibly be your recording? Granted, we have different setups. But I find that on mine, if the sound guy mixed in holy sh&t bass, you hear it. If they didn't do such a great job, you don't hear it so well.

I just thought of this because I'm listening to something that was mixed well for a change.

Oh jeez, no. I just have the Perreaux and a Total Bithead that's on the way back to me. I know we have different setups - but does the lack of bass vary from recording to recording? Or is it a general lack of bass?

I would think that any amp in the 3-500 dollar(PPA on the low end here...not sure what for the high spectrum) range would be equal in terms of bass out put. The real item of concern should be the headphones. Those would dictate how much bass could be output.

Basically any amp of high quality will be sufficient. It's not the amp IMO that hinders the bass output once you buy something of high quality. The headphones become the bottle neck.
