Can you guys recommend some basic volume controllers for PC?

I mean something like this Nobsound:

Is this one any good? Are there less expensive alternatives?

Is this what people use to control volume when using a DAC and powered speakers that don't have easily accessible volume knobs? I don't want to use my Windows volume - I'd prefer to just keep it at 100%.

Which software are you using? Jriver has a good volume control built in and that works for me with my dac.

Thanks, but I am not interested in software volume control. I want a physical volume knob.

I'm using a Fostex controller, which is one of the cheapest i could find (in europe). It is quite small but not too small and it works perfectly. It also came with cables, so i can't complain.

Thanks. Yeah, that's even more expensive than the Nobsound, plus having to deal with XLR connections would just further complicate things for me.
