Vic Firth is a drum stick making company, probably the best, and I use their sticks exclusively. But I was wondering if anyone here knows about their headphones? Anyone have experience as to whether they're anything special or not? Here they are:

A drummer from a drum forum I go to said this: "I recently bought a pair of Vic Firth Stereo Isolation Headphones, Model SIH1, for practicing and have been happy with them. They fit tightly, sound good and cut out 24db of external sound, ie your drums, which allows you to turn the volume down on them while you play, thus saving your hearing. They cut out a bit more a bit more external sound than I like so I simply move one of the cups slightly off my ear. You can get these on-line for $49.99."

they make drumsticks, not headphones. well, they do now, but i dont think they do it very good, unless they take the drivers of another well established company. If you want isolation, look at closed phones and canalphones.

As far as cans for serious listening go, probably not so hot. As far as cans for drum monitering/practicing go? Pretty good, I would imagine.

Of course, I also admit I've never heard them--could be a great buy for the price.
