I just picked up a four CD collection of the Vanguard studio recordings of Ian & Sylvia. These are re-mastered versions of all seven of the Vanguard records plus some extra material. For recordings done in the early 60's they sound pretty good. You still get Ian in one ear and Sylvia in the other, but I guess that was the way they were recorded. Sometimes they switch ears.
I also saw that Vanguard was putting out the complete studio recording of Richard and Mimi Farina in a three CD set. Hope they put out the complete Buffy Sainte-Marie and Vanguard Odetta sessions also.
If you're interested in early sixties folk music, the Ian & Sylvia box set is a very good value. Vanguard was noted for putting out very well recorded music.
