Hi guys,

After reading the excellent reviews on here and other sites, I have decided to go for the V-MODA Crossfade M-80 Shadow. I live in the UK. In accordance with the advice of going to an authorised seller, I went to Amazon.co.uk. However, Amazon.co.uk themselves do not sell the M-80, there are however four sellers that sell it listed there. Two of these sellers have 'FULFILLED BY AMAZON' next to their listings and the other two do not, so I am wondering which one to go for?

Please see: http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/offer-listing/B005HSDLCO/ref=dp_olp_new?ie=UTF8&condition=new

Once I get them, how can I tell if my headphone is genuine? Is there a way I can register them to check? I've had a look on the V-MODA website, there are details of how to identify a fake (fugazi) Crossfade LP, but not M-80. http://v-moda.com/fugazi/

Some advice would be appreciated. I really can't wait to get them.

Thank you

No one has seen a fake pair of M80s or any V-MODA models for that matter, so I wouldn't worry about it.  And ALWAYS get items that are fulfilled by Amazon if possible as they will stand behind the purchase and not the individual seller which can be a pain sometimes.

Thunderbird,

I went through the exact same thing a couple of months ago, but not because I was worried about a fake, I wanted to make sure it was an authorised seller for warranty backup issues. I emailed V-Moda, and they told me that the Bournemouth Electronics seller is legit, so I bought a pair from them.

Hope that helps.

That is actually incorrect.

Naturally. Unfortunately I see some fake M-100s in the future.
