My left ear canal is smaller than my right ear. I like using the smallest size shure olives because they seem to give a good seal and are pretty easy to put in. However, it takes a lot of work to fit it into my left ear while it's really comfortable in my right. Right now I'm using the yellow foams for the left because that's all that seems to fit nicely and the small olives for my right.

Anyway, I've been listening for a little bit and I don't really notice a difference between the ears or anything like that. But I'm not sure if that's only because I'm hoping and tricking myself into thinking it's the same, and I can't really do a blind test. I think the seal should be about the same though since they're both foam-ish.
Question is has anyone else tried this / know if there actually is a difference? Or does anyone have recommendations (other than complys) for comfortable tips? Thanks!
