Hello, I am just wondering if I can use Chord Mojo as part of desktop Dac then pair with an Amp for my headphones (400i & hd800)?! Will this setup killing Mojo's battery life?! Or once mojo connect through PC(Mac) it will disconnect battery source?!

Anyone done it before?!

You can leave it plugged-in just like a laptop being plugged-in 24/7. Regardless of use, battery life will ultimately deteriorate. Just buy another Mojo in case battery dies.

When the battery dies, will it still be able to use as plug and play unit alone?

I'm thinking it won't since battery consumes more power than normal USB output. BTW, if you can DIY, you can use a linear power supply to bypass the battery when it dies.

Once in a while u can disconnect the mojo from power, this will help the battery cycle..

second, if battery gets damaged, chord will officially replace the battery..so no need to worry abt that part even..

Thank you now I am debating between a mobile set up with mojo and a temp desktop setup with mid range dac/amp... hard choice, next year I am building a diy tube amp with dac, maybe I should go with mobile setup with mojo first....
