I recently acquired some 12AX7 tubes from a coworker and I've been looking into the possibility of using them in a 6922 amp.
It's my understanding that the 12AX7's can be run with the heater's in parallel at 6V instead of the normal parallel 12V. I'd prefer to not modify the amp so that I can switch between tubes. I'm wondering if anyone has any experience using a tube converter like this one.
I'm thinking I can use that to account for the pin out changes. I've seen a few of these pre-made for 12AX7 to other 6xxx series tubes, but nothing pre-made for 6DJ8 / 6922 / ECC88 / E88CC. This makes me slightly skeptical that there is more that I should be concerned about other than pin out.
Am I missing something? Anyone with tube converter expereience?
