First off all - I wanna say this is `one of a kind` website - after searching hours on hours - THIS IS FAR THE BEST!

Well, introduction: Im getting soon the Xclef HD-500 (no drive) and installing the Hitachi TravelStar 4k80 (80GB that is). Almost got it in the U.S. but found it an hour flight from here - Korea (for those who doesnt know - its the original maker). I listen to any kind of music - from Radiohead to Dreamtheatre - Mozart to Morcheeba - chillout, trance, progressive rock, alternative...... so there is no range of music.

Ok - now the issue: I`m in Tokyo now, but I was stupid enough to order Headphones from the U.S. - THE SENN EH-350 (139$ retail) - My first (descent) Headphones! I shipped it over to a mate in NY - and he`ll ship it here to my word... BUT - I think I made a mistake. Two mistakes...

First one - I could easly get here a nice headset - after reviewing Head-Fi over & over again - found out many orders are actually coming from here...
Second mistake - Im not sure the Senn eh-350 answer my needs. - Im on a world tour now for the last 2 years, on my bycicles. After purchasing the senn I found out its open-aire. Im not sure what it means EXACTLY - but I know its mostly for indoor use (by maker "are especially suitable for professional monitoring applications").... dont be confused - the eh-150/250 are closed. Im sure I will enjoy the 350 , but I might enjoy other kind better (for my needs). I couldnt find anything on Head-Fi about them - can you please tell me why? is it just becuase its new or is it because they suck?!?

So this it my question for the pro`s:
The Senn is still sealed in the original box with the warrenty - waiting in NY for my word. What should I do?
Should I `get rid` of my senn (put them on auctio/sell it to one of you guys
wink.gif
and get myself a pair here in Japan? What cans? my range of price is up to 100$ maybe a little bit more. I prefer an overhead set rather than canal one`s...(I tried to find the V6 but they dont sell it here anymore, almost fooled by the v700-DJ design - this website saved my ass THANK GOD!!!

second option - should I ship the Senn over here and enjoy them as it is...

Biggest worry is time! Im here in Tokyo only until tomorrow - so I will probably follow anything you`ll post here over night - TAKE IT OR LEAVE IT - thats the question....
related websites:
Senn review - http://www.google.com/search?q=sennh...sa=X&oi=lrtip9

Senn offical - http://www.sennheiserusa.com/newsite...transid=500095

KAKAKU.com - http://www.kakaku.com/sku/pricemenu/headphones.htm - this is the a japanese shopping website - so mostly rubbish - but very easy to follow - just click on the brand and see all models - prices in yen`s off course, 1$ = 105yen

-
I can only get here the models that showes on this KAKAKU website - if youll search for Grado or the sony v6 for exm. - you wont find it...

THANKS A LOT FOR THE HELP - GONNA STAY UP ALL NIGHT AND WAIT FOR YOUR POSTS - SO PLEASE DEDICATE FEW MINUTES TO HELP!!!

CHEERS! LIAM

When you say you're on world tour on bicycles, do you mean that you will be listening to the headphones on the bikes?

To be honest, there hasn't been too much talk about the EH-350 at all.

About the cycling - yes and no - Im not always on the run - I have places where I stop for months - but when you need to go, you need to go (Visa) - so yeah, also listening on the bikes...
Why? is it important - I think cycling is less jumpi than even walking - I dont move my head much, just the legs

I have images in my mind of the cans slipping from the head while going downhill at 20 mph+. Contact is made with the surface and the first chip of plastic flies off like a stone skipping a lake surface. Then the other driver housing flips over at slightly slower speed when it contacts the asphalt, but the vibration of the initial impact is still thrumming and the whole housing shatters like a flower blooming in fast forward. Then the driver bounds free, a surreal expression of freedom as it slips its restraints and skims across the surface like a hockey puck on the ice.

I just can't imagine riding with heavy cans. Get some nice Sony or AT buds/clip-ons like the E888's, CM/EM 5/7/etc for riding your bike. They don't block out the noise that might just save you from an accident and provide you with good sound. But the A500's are an excellent choice for when you aren't mobile.

PS. It's poor form to create two posts covering the same subject matter in the same 24 hour period.

Though I still like to have a full size headphones. Those are my first one and I wanna have the experience. and anyway- you dont really go 20KM per hour when you have 40 Kilo with you, not including the bikes (and you
