This has been going on for a long time it seems, and apparently nobody reported about it.

Uploading pictures from local storage is not working through any browser I tried on Android. Never tried by url.

I'll be looking into this.  Just for reference though, what browsers (and browser versions) did you try, and what version of Android are you using?  We want to try to replicate the issue using as many like data points as possible.

So far, I tried Firefox Beta and Chrome, both on latest updates, and Android 4.3. There's another person that uses Safari on iOS having the same problem IIRC, but I don't know wjat version of the os he's on.

Does not work for me either with Opera Mobile 12.10 on an old Android 2.3.5

It goes through all the motions of uploading, but the post is never updated with the picture link.
