So I like many other people fell victim to the "awesome" sound quality of a gaming headset. I've been doing a ton of research and have ultimately landed on grabbing a pair of the original non Gibson Fidelio X2s.

I plan on picking up one of the boompro mics considering the X2s have a detachable cable, will I notice a sound difference when using the boompro versus the stock cable?

I'm also open to other suggestions as far as headphones go. I don't need something to hear footsteps, I'd rather have something "fun" and immersive. I did some research on the DT990s but it seems like the fidelios may be the better option for me.

DT990s don't have a detachable cable; so you would have to use a desk mic. I still believe X2's would be a better option if you can score a pair free of QC issues.

yeah pretty much everything I've read suggests the 990s would be a downgrade. Seems like I'm set on finding an original pair of the x2s.

Didn't think the quality would be any different using the other cable but figured I'd ask. Than
