New Head-Fier
Newbie here need some advice: I would like to run Arya at >=80%. Should I get an full-size AMP for the combo or just get a desktop DAC+AMP to replace M8?
Thanks for attaching all the links! Would you recommend Jotunheim 2 as a cheaper alternative to Soloist 3XP?According to this page (read the entire page; entire thread is optional):

The Burson soloist 3XP will work very well with your hifiman arya v1, especially when you pick the right op-amps to upgrade it, and there is even one open-box that is somewhat close to your location and on the Canadian side:

Use this cable to connect the soloist 3XP in to the Shanling M8 out:

You will get the most power from the Soloist 3XP 4-pin-XLR out, so see if your Arya V1 will fit this dual 2.5mm stereo cable:

Otherwise, just get this dual 3.5mm stereo cable:

Lastly, if you prefer to have a brand-new Burson Soloist 3XP:

Also, is this cable equally good for M8 and AMP: https://www.amazon.ca/dp/B001UJEKZ6...olid=3P6TSMAUP9AKJ&psc=1&ref_=lv_ov_lig_dp_itAccording to this page (read the entire page; entire thread is optional):

Yes, I heard Jot 2 is playable with a few upgrade options. If you do not mind the extra fees for shipping and such, then the Schiit Jotunheim 2 will work fine. If you want, then you could add a little dot mk3 se tube amp and connect that to the Jotunheim 2 xlr-outs for when you want a tube sound:

That will not work, as the 6.35mm stereo is being fed to a mono-xlr input/output.
